With the integrated hardware encryption module, DS218j delivers encrypted data throughputs of 105 MB/s (read) and 58 MB/s (write)1. DS218j is equipped with front schedule controlled LED displays with adjustable brightness, which can be reduced accordingly at night if necessary. DS218j consumes only 17.48W when accessing and 7.03W when the hard drive is in sleep mode, making it the energy and cost saving 24/7 personal storage server.
